Who are we?

About the Academy

UP2 Academy is a modern online language school that mainly offers the General English course – learning English online in its standard form at levels from basic (A1, A2, A2+), through intermediate (B1, B1+, B2, B2+) to advanced (C1, C1+, C2).

Each level is divided into at least 10 thematic units, which in turn are divided into 3 sub-units. The course can be started in each chapter, depending on the level of advancement of the student, which is determined during the recruitment process. Each unit includes:

 

✔ a 60-minute live online lesson

✔ an e-book

✔ interactive tasks on the educational e-platform

✔ additional materials supporting learning

✔ revision exercises and progress tests

 

In addition, UP2 Academy offers the following courses:

• Business English (A2 - C1): a basic to advanced course, focused on vocabulary and topics used in the worlds of business, trade, finance and international relations. It develops skills needed for typical business communication such as presentations, negotiations, meetings, small talk, socialising, correspondence, report writing.

• Exam Course (PET, FCE, CAE): an examination course for candidates who want to pass one of the Cambridge language exams: Preliminary (B1), First (B2), Advanced (C1)

• Speaking: classes with an emphasis on speaking: improving pronunciation, learning fluency techniques, eliminating the most common lexical and grammatical errors, gaining self-confidence, preparing for interviews and self-presentation

• Individual: classes fully personalized and tailored to the needs, which go beyond the scope of the above courses (tutoring on current material from school or university, English for specific purposes, methodological support for TKT, CELTA, Delta courses)

Lessons take place via one of the selected communicators at the time chosen by the student. The educational platform is available 24/7 in both the standard and the mobile app versions. It contains all the materials necessary for learning and practicing the language and consists of:

• grammar and vocabulary part

• listening

• reading

• writing

About me

Hi, my name is Przemek. I am the founder and the head teacher at UP2 Academy. I am an English Linguistics graduate with a specialty in teaching English as a foreign language. Teaching is my biggest passion and I have devoted many years to it. I have had a chance to work in various environments not only in my home country, but also around the world, mainly in South America. All the gained experience has given me a deeper insight into the problems English learners struggle the most with.

Good teachers are those who try to constantly train themselves in order to improve and embrace new teaching trends. That is why, apart from my MA in English, I hold a Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages – Delta, which is the highest and most recognised diploma in the field of teaching English as a foreign language. Furthermore, during my school and university period, I had the opportunity to learn 7 foreign languages, so I know exactly what it is like to ‘start from scratch’ and what kind of difficulties one might face during the learning process.

Nowadays, the ability to speak English gives us countless opportunities; from personal ones – like talking with people from all over the world or travelling without fear – to professional ones – such as the possibility of getting a promotion, a higher salary or a good job abroad. I am myself a living proof of how the ability to speak a foreign language has a positive effect on both private and professional lives.

Q: What kind of courses does UP2 Academy offer?
A: We offer General English, Business English, Exam Course (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, Matura), Speaking and Individual courses.
Q: Who are these courses for?
A: The courses are intended for everyone with a computer / laptop or telephone with Internet access, for whom convenience and flexibility in terms of classes count.
Q: What do I need to participate in these courses?
A: You need a computer, laptop or any mobile device with access to the Internet along with an account on the educational platform. A Skype/Messenger/Zoom account, webcam and headphones or speakers with a microphone are also required.
Q: How long does one class last?
A: Each class lasts 60 minutes.
Q: How can I book a class?
A: You can book it immediately after a class, via email, WhatsApp or via UP2 Booking.
Q: Can I take a free trial class?
A: Yes. Before the start of the course, a free organizational meeting is recommended, where the level of advancement will be assessed and the details of our cooperation will be discussed. Just use the contact form, e-mail or UP2 Booking website.
Q: Do I get a certificate after finishing the course?
A: Yes. After each completed level, the student receives (on request) a certificate issued by UP2 Academy confirming its completion.
Q: Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
A: Yes. You can cancel or postpone a lesson via email, Whatsapp or UP2 Booking website, although it has a negative impact on the learning process and the availability of dates, so it is not recommended. Details of canceling / postponing lessons can be found in the Terms and Conditions.
Q: Can I be late for a class?
A: Yes. You will not be able to make up for the lost time by extending the lesson on the same or another day.
Q: What are the payment methods?
A: You can pay for each course by card (debit or credit) via the Prices tab on the website, selecting the appropriate option and following the instructions displayed on the screen, or by transfer to the account number provided in the Terms and Conditions and in the welcome message confirming the start of the course.
